Our personnel are our expertise

One of the Halland County Council’s objectives is to be an attractive and efficient place of work. This can be achieved through good personnel policy. The County Council is the county’s largest knowledge-based company, and considers it important to retain and develop its in-house expertise.

The County Council is Halland’s largest employer. Of its approximately 7,500 employees, nurses are the largest professional group. Four out of five employees are women, and the average age is 47 years. The high average age of employees, combined with projections that care needs will increase, entail that the County Council will soon be needing to recruit new personnel in a variety of professional categories.

R&D – for the future
In order to provide Hallanders with even better care and stimulate the development of Halland in the direction of improved health and well-being, the Halland County Council makes a major commitment to research and development, R&D.
