Halmstad County Hospital
Some 2,300 people work at the county hospital, making it the county’s largest place of employment. The county hospital has eighteen different specialized clinics. Some of the clinics have countywide responsibility for their specialties.
In its efforts to make healthcare better and more efficient, the county hospital works continuously with quality and operational development. All of the hospital’s clinics participate in Swedish quality assurance lists to ensure that they remain at the forefront of their medical specialties.
The county hospital also participates in a nationwide project to monitor what patients think about the care they receive, and carries out a patient survey annually. The surveys of the past few years show that Halmstad County Hospital is the hospital with the highest percentage of satisfied patients. The hospital has also garnered much attention for its successful environmental efforts.
Varberg Hospital

Varberg Hospital has profiled itself as one of the first computerized hospitals in the country. One example of its efforts in this sphere is digital X-ray technology, which makes it possible to send X-ray images to other hospitals via the telecom network for discussion and diagnosis.
